Player or Real?

They greet you with a hug and are fun to be around. They are as charming as no one else can be. You find them in your family and among friends. They are not bad people at all. We love them and they love us back.

They are the masters at diplomacy. They never get in trouble and they are never guilty of anything. They are the angels every parent dreams to have and every church wants to recruit in its choir. Just like poker players they learn your likes and hates, body language, favorite meal, preferred drink, etc. They study you thoroughly. Most of them do it subconsciously, though.

Players tell lies to get what they want and relieve them from responsibilities and from having to do the right thing like apologize or amend an error.

Unfortunately, so much perfection hides an imperfection. Their biggest defect is that they lie. They lie for the smallest thing. They are afraid to be themselves and unveil who they really are. If they do, they are exposing themselves to criticism and ‘punishment’.

Being a player has three negative aspects.
(1) One is manipulating the feelings of those around them.
(2) The player (by pretending to be so nice) will be asked by those around him/her for many favors. The player becomes a slave of having to please everyone, regardless whether the player wants to or not.
(3) The player is building a prison around him/her. The more s/he plays the harder it will be for them to be sincere later on.
The first one is meaningless when compared to the second and third aspects.

The players have tried to promote an image of "sainthood" that has become a prison-confinement-entrapment-slavery, etc. from being who they really are. They built their own jails.

Please be yourself and let others know who you really are. We all have defects. Do not just be an apple. An apple is something we all like, but what we eat once a while. Be exciting and tasty. Show us your true soul, your passion. When people have defects is when we are able to admire, learn about and appreciate more their virtues.

Being insincere is being lazy to be real. Remember, being a player goes against the principle of ‘being and living free’ and ‘respect others to be respected’. And never forget that you do not have to apologize for saying the truth.

You must learn to be free to live & be happy by being yourself! Don't imitate! You are unique and great! God bless the goodness in you.
